Background
Polo Flat is the largest industrial area in the Snowy Monaro region, playing a pivotal role in supporting many local businesses and industries. With its strategic location, excellent access to utility services, and connectivity to major markets such as Canberra, the far South Coast and even Eastern Victoria, Polo Flat holds immense potential for future development. However, it requires rejuvenation to ensure it remains a vibrant hub for years to come.
Council, successfully applied for grant funding from the NSW State Government’s Business Case and Strategy Development Fund (BCSD) and has been working with SMEC to prepare a draft master plan, aimed at shaping the future of Polo Flat. This document outlines a strategic framework, considering current challenges, opportunities, and future prospects.
